WELL QUILTED Vintage 30's Floral Poppy Tulip Paisley Applique Antique Quilt! This GORGEOUS cotton 30's paisley quilt is hand appliqued and hand quilted, with hand embroidered accents and poppies, tulips and other flowers inside the paisley. It measures a generous 82" X 92" and is in excellent condition, with a couple of small, faint spots, light surface dirt in places (I haven't tried to clean this one) and no wear.
The quilting is superb, with quilting around and within the applique and in close paisley, straight line, feathered, and grid designs in the background, all at an even 7-8 stitches to the inch. The back is white, the front and back are hand stitched right at the edge ("knife edge"), and the batting is of medium thickness. The WONDERFUL BLUE BORDERS, DENSE QUILTING, and GREAT DESIGN make this vintage beauty stand out!
