Painted in thick layers of Annie Sloan chalkpaint I always sand items prior to painting to ensure the paint adheres nicely. The decoration features antique postcard images- curated and printed by myself. The decoupage has been printed in fade-resistant ink designed to last up to 100 years before any fading occurs.

I have then hand-painted over the top to blend all of the components together in very thick, very textured layers and dribbles The text reads, in the colours of the undercoat. Distressed all over to show the undercoat and back to wood in some areas to age it.

I aim to create the feel of a genuinely aged bohemian piece. Finally varnished with a floor varnish to provide a durable finish. This is a VINTAGE refurbished piece and may have life marks, dinks, knocks etc. The construction is of a high fairly lightweight quality.
