Antique Vtg Lace-WIDE HM ANTIQUE POINT DE VENISE NEEDLE LACE FLOUNCE INSERTION

Refined, wide antique handmade Point De Venise needlelace flounce or insertion lace in a warm sandy ecru color.. Useful for embellishing apparel, bedspreads, drapery, pillows, etc. This quality lace features a repetitive floral motif with greenery, and is finished off with a straight edge along 2 sides with columnar bars through which narrow ribbon can be threaded. Measures overall 3&5/8 inches wide, 74 inches long, and finished along 2 sides.

In overall very good condition considering age, with yellowing, mild fraying along the unfinished edges, occasional scraggly threads, vey mild soilage in isolated areas, and a rare well appointed joint. Though none are noted, there may be a rare light spot.
